If the downtown area isn’t your scene, there are also some beautiful parks to experience nature. You can check out Rice Lake for a beautiful stroll as well as fishing.

Another way to experience the beautiful outdoors of Vancouver is by spending a night outside. You’ll find camping in Vancouver to be one of the best adventures you’ve ever had.

Be sure to check out the rules and regulations of camping in Vancouver before getting your heart set on it. Only BC residents can reserve spots until July 7th. After that date, the rest of Canada can come and enjoy the magnificent outdoors that Vancouver has to offer.

Sightseeing in Vancouver

The last thing you need to include on your itinerary for a summer in Vancouver is sightseeing. There are so many amazing places and things to do in this city that you’re going to have trouble fitting everything in. 

Besides all the beautiful nature, Vancouver is a popular location for movies and television shows to be filmed. It is an energetic place for art, theatre, and music. 

One place you can check out this summer is the VanDusen Botanical Gardens. There are 55 acres of spacious gardens and unique plant species. It even features a hedge maze that the kids can enjoy as well as local wildlife. 

You’ll want to spend all day here so be sure to bring a picnic as you can dine outside on the beautiful grass. You can also choose to eat at Shaughnessy Restaurant or Truffles Café. There is even a gift shop to buy some wonderful souvenirs to remember your time.
