Drop The Puck Already – Vancouver Canucks NHL Action

Drop the puck already!  The Vancouver Canucks 49th NHL season is just about to get under away!

As the new season begins so does a new era of fresh faces mixed with veterans.  We’re ready to drop the puck!  If you plan on staying with us, make sure you book with the hotel directly to get all the best rates and did you know that we have a special promotion going on between October 1st and November 30th?  Look for our “CYBER” package which can be found here and you can save up to 25% on our regular room rates.

This year the start of the season off on Wednesday October 3 against their Pacific Division rivals, the Calgary Flames.  Johnny Gaudreau and Mark Giordano and the rest of the Flames are poised to make the NHL playoffs this year while the Canucks are in the middle of an extensive rebuild and should help the team make the playoffs in years to come.  We’re excited to see the Canucks after 18 years of the infamous Sedin twins and the legacy that they left with our team and the hearts of many fans not only in Vancouver but across the world.

Each and every Canucks’ game promises to be competitive as well as exciting to watch as the NHL is now forwarding itself into a new era where skaters from North America and abroad are becoming not only younger but faster as well.  The Canucks will play forty-one home games against other rivals from other divisions such as the Metropolitan (home of the defending Stanley Cup champions – the Washington Capitals), Atlantic and Central.  Before we forget to mention it, there is a lot star power in the NHL and some key matchups include:

Monday October 22 – Alex Ovechkin (and the Washington Capitals)

Saturday October 27 – Sidney Crosby (and the Pittsburgh Penguins)

Saturday November 17 – Carey Price (and the Montreal Canadiens)

Monday November 19 – Winnipeg Jets

Sunday December 16 – Connor McDavid (and the Edmonton Oilers)

Wednesday March 6 – Auston Matthews (and the Toronto Maple Leafs)

Wednesday March 20 – Ottawa Senators

Since the NHL has only seven Canadian teams, make sure to catch all of the Canucks’ national rivals.  All games take place at Rogers Arena (just a quick taxi ride not too far from the Sunset Inn and Suites).

So… Are you as ready as we are for puck drop on this upcoming and exciting NHL season!  We are!
