Are you flying to Vancouver? We recommend that you check out Vancouver International Airport‘s website for constant updates as things change on a constant basis. Our airport is split into three different sections – Domestic, International and Trans-Border. YVR is a very accessible airport for all travelers and when traveling to Vancouver for the first time, it can be a little intimidating and possibly frustrating, too. (Hint: Ask for or negotiate a flat rate between $35-40CDN) Maybe you’re coming into Vancouver with Harbour Air and your arrival is destined for the Coal Harbour Seaplane Terminal, as simple as it is, take a quick taxi ride over to the hotel.
Here are some simple ideas to get you going from the airport to our hotel in the heart of Vancouver’s West End and Davie Village neighbourhoods.
Canada Line SkyTrain – Traveling to Vancouver with SkyTrain is most likely to be the easiest mode of transportation to get into the city as it is probably the most affordable. Make sure that you get on a SkyTrain headed towards for Waterfront Station which is at the end of the line for any downtown hotels as well a central hub to a lot of other accessible spots throughout the city. If you are needing a more accessible station to get to our hotel, we recommend the Yaletown-Roundhouse Station which is at the corner of Davie Streets and Pacific Boulevard. From that station, you can take a public bus, namely the #6 Davie and head into the Davie Village and West End neighbourhoods and get off at the corner of Davie and Thurlow streets. Our Our hotel is just a two-minute walk away and as you arrive we will be here to give you a warm welcome and service with a smile. After all, that’s what we’re all about.
Are you travelling to Vancouver by boat? Perhaps by a cruise ship from Alaska or a ferry from Vancouver Island? If it’s a cruise ship, we will most likely recommend a taxi from the cruise ship terminal as we imagine that you will most likely have more luggage than you can handle. Don’t worry you won’t be the only one. Coming in from one of the BC Ferries and you’re coming in from Victoria and your ferry is arriving at the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal, you can also access public transportation from there by taking the #620 Bridgeport Station to it’s final stop and from there you will once again access the Canada Line SkyTrain system towards downtown. Perhaps you’re coming in from Nanaimo and arriving at the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal? There is an express bus that leaves from the ferry terminal directly and heads towards downtown. Look for the #250 Vancouver connection. We recommend that you get off of the bus at the corner of Granville and West Georgia streets and then transfer to another bus to get you a little closer to the hotel.
