As a hotel and being mindful that we are one of a kind we are not the cookie-cutter style aspect nor anonymity of hotels run by large franchise companies, this also enables us to respond to our guests’ needs quickly without having to run everything by a remote corporate headquarters. In fact, our company policy and procedures manual contains only one sentence: treat each other and each of our guests as we would a member of our family.
If you ask anyone of our regulars who visit us often and for many weeks at a time (We do offer monthly rates!) you will see that we truly are a close knit community more than anything else. This makes sense as Vancouver is known as the city of neighborhoods so we feel we specifically fit the bill.
We take immense pride in our dedication to helping every guest enjoy their stay with us and their visit to Vancouver. Our building has its origins as an apartment building The Las Palmas Tower. This may explain why we offer the largest suites in Vancouver, with fully equipped kitchens and private balconies. Our suites were built to house couples and families for stays of several years. A few years ago a $3,000,000 renovation, with every surface and furnishing throughout the hotel brand new (and in many cases, custom-designed) to better serve and delight our guests.
We have not stopped there. Our ongoing commitment to continue improving our hotel and services is something we continually work on to remain a step ahead in anticipating our guests’ needs. All the staff are hands on in this process and we do have various days that are dedicated to maintenance – we also have a dedicated team of professionals that work extremely hard more often over the winter months to keep the hotel relevant, cozy and ahead of the game.
