Summer Night Concerts at The PNE August 19th to September 1st

The Summer night concerts at The PNE line up has been announced and once again there are some amazing bands to see starting on August 19th and wrapping up on September 1st.

The line up showcases acts from the 70s, 80s  & also current artists of the day ranging from New Wave to country to classic rock there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

 

MOTHER MOTHER – AUGUST 19th 

Mother Mother is an Canadian Indie band from Vancouver. In 2005 they independently released their self-titled debut album under the band name Mother, they then re-released the album in 2007 and re titled it Touch Up. They released 6 albums to date. http://www.mothermothersite.com/

BILLY CURRINGTON – AUGUST 20th

Billy Currington is an American Country singer and songwriter who released his self titled debut album in 2003, he has released 6 albums to date. http://www.billycurrington.com/

THE POINTER SISTERS – AUGUST 22nd

The Pointer Sisters are an American R&B singing group from Oakland, California, that achieved mainstream success especially during the 1970s and 1980s bringing various style of music to the masses such as pop, dance, R&B and disco to name but a few styles. https://www.thepointersisters.com/

HIGH VALLEY – AUGUST 23rd

High Valley is a Canadian Country music duo from Blumenort, Alberta. The band is composed of brothers Brad and Curtis Rempel. They released they debut album in 2007 and have so far released 5 albums to date. www.highvalleymusic.com

ZZ TOP – AUGUST 24th 

ZZ Top is a rock band formed in 1969 in Houston, Texas. Current members are bassist and lead vocalist Dusty Hill, guitarist and lead vocalist Billy Gibbons, and drummer Frank Beard who have been rocking the crowds for well over 4o years & selling  more than 50 million albums worldwide. http://www.zztop.com/

CHICAGO – AUGUST 25th 

Chicago is an American rock band formed in 1967 in Chicago, Illinois. COLIN JAMES – AUGUST 26th

Colin James is a Canadian singer-songwriter, guitarist, and record producer, who plays in the blues, rock, and neo-swing genres.  He is promoting his 18th album in 2017. http://www.colinjames.com/

 

HUEY LEWIS AND THE NEWS – AUGUST 27th

Hugh Anthony Cregg III, known professionally as Huey Lewis, is an American singer, songwriter, and actor. Lewis sings lead and plays harmonica for his band, Huey Lewis and the News, in addition to writing or co-writing many of the band’s songs http://www.hueylewisandthenews.com/

TOM COCHRANE – AUGUST 29th

Thomas William “Tom” Cochrane, OC OM is a Canadian musician known as the front man for the Canadian rock band Red Rider, and for his work as a solo singer-songwriter. http://www.tomcochrane.com/

THE B52S – AUGUST 30th

THE DOOBIE BROTHERS – AUGUST 31st

RICK SPRINGFIELD – SEPTEMBER 1st

Rick Springfield is an Australian singer, instrumentalist, songwriter, actor and author. His solo career started with his debut single “Speak to the Sky” reaching the top 10 in Australia in mid-1972, when he moved to the United States.
