Rain, rain, go away… Come back some other day!

Even in the midst of all this rain (or as we Vancouverites call it, “liquid sunshine”), there is still lots to do in and around the city. Have you heard of Lumiere YVR? An annual event inspired by light and artistic expression happening throughout the entire city throughout November and December. This could actually be an exciting “rainy day” event because even in the rain, this event is one that you won’t want to miss.

Among the many other things to do in Vancouver during the rain, head over to the Vancouver Art Gallery There are truly a lot of amazing exhibits and shows going on throughout November and thru the rest of the year.
Maybe the art gallery isn’t your thing?
Why not head over to Science World? Remember the movie “Toy Story”? Until January 6, 2019, there is the ongoing exhibit of “The Science Behind Pixar” is happening. This interactive exhibition showcases the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) concepts used by the artists and computer scientists who help bring Pixar’s award-winning films to the big screen. You will even come face-to-face with re-creations of your favorite Pixar film characters, including Buzz Lightyear, Dory, Mike and Sulley, and WALL·E.
As always, if the rain dampers your spirits, why not cook from the luxury of your Suite but before you do, head over to Granville Island and get some fresh meats, seafood and fruits. Remember we want to be your “home away from home” and want to ensure that whenever you stay with us. Perhaps making a nice bowl of beef stew with potatoes or homemade chicken soup will sooth the soul on those rainy November nights and besides who doesn’t like comfort food?
And, oh would you look at that… The sun is coming out! We are after all the Sunset Inn and Suites.
