PLAYLAND AT THE PNE
One of the most popular attractions at the PNE site is Playland Amusement Park which is a 15-acre amusement park that has hosted millions of thrillseekers of all ages since it opened in 1910.
The Park was named “Happy Land” in 1926 and remained on the original site until 1958, when it was moved to its present site and re-opened under the name, Playland. Their marquee attraction is by far the beloved 1958 Wooden Roller Coaster which remains to be the most popular ride on the site and one of the most highly regarded wooden coasters in the world.
The regular season lasts from May to the end of September every year. Playland has added three new family rides – you can spin your way through a magical land on the new coaster ride, Bug Whirled, peddle your way to the clouds flapping your wings on The Flutterbye, then take the plunge on the marvelous mechanical Dizzy Drop. And for the absolute thrill seeker the park has Canada’s most extreme pendulum ride, The Beast. Try it if you dare!

The bands that play here are eclectic and offer up sounds for all to enjoy from all over the world such as Latin flare, good old fashioned rock and pop , music for everyone to enjoy. It is a busy and boisterous bar that always offers a great time – the staff here are awesome!
