Walk the Festival Of Lights & Enchanted Nights

Christmas is even more spectacular when you experience the Festival of Lights at the VanDusen Botanical Garden. The gardens will be decorated with more than a million lights, and you can add to the fun by visiting the Dancing Lights show on nearby Livingstone Lake and the Enchanted Nights program at the Bloedel Conservatory. It’s located at 5251 Oak Street.

Experience the Aurora Winter Festival

Make Christmas even merrier with when you visit the Aurora Winter Festival. The festival transforms Hastings Park/PNE into a veritable winter wonderland, complete with a skating rink, holiday light displays, amusement rides, a Christmas Market. It’s Canada’s largest winter festival, all in one location.

Fly Over Canada – and the North Pole

During 11 months of the year the FlyOver Canada attraction at Canada Place is a thrilling flight simulator ride. During December, the ride is transformed into a ride to the North Pole. You hang in mid-air, with your feet dangling, so it feels like you’re hang gliding across Canada – with Santa!

Go Ice Skating at Robson Square

There’s nothing more fun than heading out an ice rink for a vigorous round of ice skating. The closest ice rink to Sunset Inn & Suites is the Robson Square Ice Rink and Plaza, located at 800 Robson Street. The rink opens on the first of December. Bring your own skates and it’s free. You can also rent skates and a helmet if you need them.
