Major must see events coming January, February & March in Vancouver 2018

Its another new year and we anticipate another busy season in Vancouver with various awesome events for everyone to enjoy, here we will share the best events to check in the city over the next few month.  Happy 2018 everyone!

Canyon lights at Capilano Suspension Bridge – runs until January 28th

Christmas maybe over but not for the Capilano Bridge – This is the place to go for some real magic for all the family to explore and here you will get to see the biggest Christmas Trees around!  The magnificent Douglas Fir Trees that dominate the mountains and forests of the area will be made up in spectacular fashion for the family to enjoy.  Standing at a mighty 400 feet, the majority of the tree will be lit up producing the tallest Christmas trees this side of the world, not just one of them but 8 to blow you away!

Robson Square Ice Rink – till February 28th

Celebrate winter with free skating in the heart of downtown Vancouver. Skate rentals end 30 minutes prior to closing. Open Sunday to Thursday, 9 am-9 pm; Friday to Saturday, 9 am-11 pm

Chinese New Year & Parade Sunday, February 16th to 28th.

The Chinese New Year Parade will return for the 45th time on Sunday, February 28th beginning at 11am.
Parade Route and the full celebrations heralding in the Year of the dog begins on Saturday, February 16, and the parade takes place on the Sunday the 28th.
The 1.3-km long route starts at the Millennium Gate on Pender Street (between Shanghai Alley and Taylor Street), proceeds east along Pender Street, turns south onto Gore Street, turns west onto Keefer Street and then disperses on Keefer St at Abbott St.

World Rugby Sevens Series March 10th & 11th

Rugby 7s really is becoming a force to be reckoned with in the sporting world, and for the third year in a row the rugby sevens will be played in March at BC Place. The tournament is played by both Men & Women.

With over 30,000 attending in the first year & then 40,000 the following year in attendance, this tournament is a real treat to watch, with a party like atmosphere and some great games to watch, it really shows how the Rugby Backs play their game, the games are short, the speed and tempo is fast and really is putting the world of Rugby sport on the world wide map!

The tournament takes place throughout the year in various cities and is now fast becoming a regular on the circuit in Vancouver and long may it reign!
