It’s time to celebrate again! It’s Canada Day on July 1st and it’s our country’s 151st birthday and celebrations are happening city-wide and all across the Lower Mainland. Do you have any plans for this wonderful day in Canadian history? We’d love to celebrate with you!
Getting started around 10am with a Canadian citizenship ceremony inside Hall A inside Canada Place will be sure to be a lot of fun as we welcome new Canadians. With lots of family-friendly and free events starting at 11am, this is something you will not want to miss as activities will be going on all day and ending with a spectacular fireworks display at 1030pm. There are many exciting events in and around the city to have fun on this day of celebration, we encourage you to to celebrate this great country that we call home with us. Canada Day at Canada Place has been western Canada’s premier Canada Day event for over 30 years, bringing communities together to share our special bond of living in one of the greatest countries in the world and celebrating our freedom, values and diversity.
We ask you to come, sing and stand with us and if you didn’t know the words to our national anthem, here they are – Just for you.
O Canada
O Canada
Our home and native land
True patriot love in all of us command
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free
From far and wide,
O Canada,
We stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada,
We stand on guard for thee.
O Canada,
We stand on guard for thee.
