There are plenty of places you can look to find great Halloween costumes and the very best for us  is DRESSEW. This fabric shop has all the fabric you can find and it is always a great place to find a fun adult costume for parties and is has a massive selection for the Halloween festivities.   It can get very very busy the closer you approach the 31st and we are guessing that the weekend of the 27th and 28th, plus the 30th will have very very long line ups so get there early!
They are extending their business hours as we type so you can get there any time between the hours of 9am till 6.30pm…not only do they have great costumes but if you need any kind of fabric supllies they will have it, anything from accessories to fabrics & trim to DIY.

This is by far one of the largest secondhand thrift stores in Vancouver and has no shortage of great supplies for the Halloween season and in fact you can get some amazing bargains here if you keep looking long enough there will be a diamond hidden in the rough and all at an incredible low cost.  While you are out and about in East Van you should check out the Commercial Drive neighbourhood, it is full of cool shops, bars and cafes and certainly has quite the bohemian feel to it, at anytime of year you will see someone in a kind of costume gear because why the hell not!!!!

The Haunted House at Barclay Manor on October 27th
Join spooky forces with the West End community centre association and visit the gorgeous Barclay Manor nestled in the heart of the westend close to our hotel. At this time of year the Manor has many welcome or unwelcome guests that like to visit their home from the past, now they are lost souls forever wandering the rooms and walls of this large timely estate.
Do you think you have what it takes to explore and old mansion and its inhabitants from Victorian era days gone by, maybe, well you should, it will be an experience you will never forget.
Admission is $3 at the door or $10 for a family of 4.  Friday Oct 27th 7 to 9pm & Saturday Oct 28th 4.30 to 6pm and 6.30 to 8.30pm.
 

Haunted Vancouver Trolley Tour

This store begins at the famous popular bar called The Irish Heather at 210 Carrall Street in the heart of Vancouvers oldest district that is Gastown.
