Christmas events in and around Vancouver

Holiday season is in full swing now in and around Vancouver – here are the most popular events to enjoy with friends and family alike!

Open daily from 11am to 9pm from November 26 to December 31, 2016 (Closed at 6pm on December 24th, and closed Christmas Day). Jack Poole Plaza (home of the 2010 Olympic Cauldron). 1055 Canada Place.
Enjoy yourself in the surroundings of a traditional “German’ style Christmas market – here you will be greeted by vendors selling treats, handmade gifts and plenty of yummy food and beverages that sum up the festive season.


LUMIERE – Lighting up the Westend of Vancouver
Experience Lumiere, an annual event inspired by light and artistic expression and driven by community and connection. Lighting up Vancouver’s iconic West End, Morton Park and Jim Deva Plaza will come alive with a series of light art installations, performances and community building initiatives. On Saturday, December 3, watch for the return of Luna the Lumiere Whale by MK Illumination.


CAPILANO CANYON LIGHTS at Capilano Suspension Bridge
Celebrate Canyon Lights November 24, 2016 to January 8, 2017.
Re-capture the feeling of wonder and excitement of the holiday season and be amazed by the hundreds of thousands of lights throughout the park. The suspension bridge, Treetops Adventure, Cliffwalk, the rainforest and canyon are transformed into a world of festive lights and visual enchantment. See the world’s tallest living Christmas tree (153 feet tall!), go on a Snowy Owl Prowl, decorate gingerbread cookies and make your own Christmas card (by donation) in the Winter Pavilion, and sing-along with the holiday band.
