Bring on the celebration! The Celebration of Light, that is. Vancouver’s marquee and signature event of summer. Our annual fireworks event happening along the shores of English Bay and Sunset Beach will be happening near the end of July (July 27th and July 31st to be exact) and during the first and last long weekend of the summer – August 3rd. Holy smokes! That’s a month from now! Don’t forget to mark your calendars!

Three amazing countries will be taking part in the festivities this year.

Saturday July 27th – India: AMIR MORANI FIREWORKS

India’s first family of fireworks, their founder began in 1937 establishing a continued legacy of excellence. The Morani’s live and breathe fireworks – and are really looking forward to sharing this passion with locals and visitors alike.

Wednesday July 31st – Canada: FIREMASTER PRODUCTIONS INC

The producers of over 100 displays across Canada and internationally each year. Their passion for custom soundtracks and high-quality products are sure to leave you in wonder.

Saturday August 3rd – Croatia: MIRNOVEC FIREWORKS

Founded in 1993, “Mirnovec” is a synonym for fireworks and special effect. This European team manufactures their own fireworks and are extremely excited to put on a show to remember this summer in Vancouver.

To boot, we are just a few blocks away from all the events which makes it easy to walk to and some of the viewpoints are simply incredible.

Sorry though, that we won’t be able to allow you roof access for optimal viewing!

That Saturday in August is also the beginning of the busiest weekend and time in Vancouver. Our annual Davie Street Party as well as Pride weekend will also be taking place – all of this happening in and around our West End neighbourhood! We will also be celebrating BC Day (the actual holiday is on Monday but Sunday will be just as an important day.) For those of you that did not know, BC Day is a day for people to celebrate their achievements, relax with friends and family and is celebrated all across the province. What better way to spend the last few months of summer than heading out to enjoy some fireworks and take in all the sights and sounds that this exciting time of the year brings!
