Celebrating the PNE – Where We All Come Together

For nearly 100-plus years, each and every August and this year from the 18th until September 3rd, the locals, tourists and visitors all come to Vancouver to celebrate the Pacific National Exhibition.

Why not book with us directly especially if you’re from BC or Alberta and take advantage of our “Local Resident” discount where you can save up to 15% on your room rate.

There are so many different things that one can do while attending the fair.  This is summer’s showcase and you even get the chance to win a prize home!  How exciting is that?  From rides, the summer concert series featuring: The Goo Goo Dolls, Wilson Phillips, Jann Arden, and yes even the Village People (just to name a few).  Who else wants to sing “YMCA”?

If you like dogs, the infamous “Super Dogs” show is always a favourite for everyone of all ages.  There really is so much one can do while attending the Fair and after all, it is summer’s showcase.

In addition to the exciting events, there are also the rides at Playland that will surely excite everyone – kids and even adults who are young at heart!  There are over 30 rides and attractions to take an adventure on, including the historic Wooden Roller Coaster, a thrilling swing ride known as the “Atmosfear” and Canada’s most extreme pendulum ride, “The Beast”.

A little bit of history that the PNE was formerly known as the “Industrial Exhibition” by then Prime Minister Sir Wilfrid Laurier and opened for the first time in 1910.  The PNE was once the second largest fair in North America only after the New York State Fair.

Check out the PNE’s calendar of events and see if there’s something that you want to see, hear or even feel.

Summer’s marquee event is just around the corner.
