We know that Christmas is just around the corner and we’re hunting for some of the best places for kids whether it be winter, spring, summer or even autumn. Not to mention that we are a hotel that absolutely loves kids. Did you know that we have a rubber duck as our hotel’s unofficial mascot? We have a “mama duck” and a “baby duckling” available at the Front Desk or in your room waiting for your arrival.

Now onto the best places for your kids and children of all ages (no matter the time of year). Ready. Set. Go!

Kids Market on Granville Island – Located just a short False Creek ferry ride across the water (make sure to dress accordingly as even these short little trips can be a tad chilly!) We call this our “happy place” where it’s okay to be a kid again. With so many stores (25 to be exact) within the market itself, your child will be sure to call this their happy place just as much and who better to take them there than you.

TELUS World of Science (aka: Science World) – For the type-of kid that enjoys continuous learning about how things work or a “behind the scenes” look at all things science, this is the place to go. Science World also features many permanent interactive exhibits and displays, as well as areas with varying topics throughout the years.

Vancouver Aquarium – A major tourist attraction for Vancouver, the aquarium is a centre for marine research, conservation and marine animal rehabilitation. Sea otters, sea lions, seals, dolphins and even walruses all of them await your arrival. We’re pretty confident the sea otters will wave at you with a friendly “hello”! Perhaps.

FlyOver Canada – A 4-D attraction and one of its kind in all of Canada. Hop aboard this interactive ride and enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of Canada (yes, it is that interactive)! It is incredibly well done and will impress young and old “movie” goers.
