15 Great Restaurants in Downtown Vancouver – Part 3

Last but not least, here is our final installment of great restaurants in our city.

You can’t blame us if you happen to get a full stomach though as well as keep in mind, the restauarants here are not limited to other great restaurants in this city.  Don’t forget to book with us directly so you can not only save for those empty (soon to be full) stomachs but so you can stay with us before and after.

11) Chambar

Somewhat of a Vancouver institution at 568 Beatty Street, Chambar’s Belgian-inspired brunches and upscale evening menu make it a favorite with locals and visitors alike. Enjoy your moules frites with a glass of local or imported beer, and enjoy similar breakfast bites to sister restaurant Medina Cafe (including those legendary waffles).  Check out our first installment for more on the Medina Cafe.

12) Homer Street Cafe & Bar

Hidden away on Homer Street (of course) in a heritage building, Homer Street Cafe serves up perfectly cooked chickens from its fire engine-red rotisserie. Poultry is the star of the show, but you’ll also find local seafood, salads, and cheese and charcut plates on the menu. Ideal for a pre-theater or show dinner as it’s close to downtown’s entertainment district.

13 ) Cibo Trattoria

Rustic Italian fare and premium wines, Cibo Trattoria focuses on seasonal slow food mixed with authentic Italian flavors. If there’s no room in the refined 40-seat trattoria, head next door to UVA for local wines, bar bites and seasonal sips that are some of the most creative cocktails in the city.

14) Royal Dinette

Right in the middle and in the heart of downtown Vancouver, Royal Dinette has been quietly winning numerous awards for its fresh farm-to-table fare under the direction of Head Chef Eva Chin. Head here for lunch, dinner, or drinks, and soak up the unique space and the fine-dining bistro ambiance.

15) Basil Pasta Bar

You won’t have to break your budget here, and Basil Pasta Bar  proves that with pasta dishes that are fresh but not overly pricey. Pick your own pasta, select a sauce, and then pile on the protein and veggies. House specials include smoked salmon fettuccine and maple bacon conchiglie. Make sure to leave a little bit of room for a delicious yet tasty tiramisu for dessert!

So there you have it!  So many great restaurants to choose from and if your taste buds haven’t been tantalized yet, they might be now.  We encourage you to also come out for our “Dine Out Vancouver” event happening early next year in 2019 from January 18 til’ February 3.

We look forward to seeing you soon.  Until then, happy eating!
