Happy 30th birthday LANDSEA TOURS & ADVENTURES!

Friday, June 5th, 2015

When you are visiting Vancouver for a few days it is likely that you will be interested in a day trip to Victoria on Vancouver Island and Whistler in the interior of the BC Mountains, it can be difficult figuring out which tour company to use to make the day-trip worth its while. So let us introduce to you Landsea Tours and Adventures.

Landsea is 30!
This year marks 30 years since Landsea Tours & Adventures began. They are an Canadian family owned and operated company that has been pleased to offer a variety of half-day and full-day sightseeing excursions around Vancouver, the Sea to Sky highway and Gondola, Victoria, Whistler and Vancouver’s North Shore. Landsea Tours & Adventures offers year round daily tours that will show you the best Southwestern British Columbia has to offer. They are a boutique tour company that utilizes the flexibility of mini-coach touring to bring you a personalized tour that a big motor coach can’t.

The staff are really what makes this particular touring company special – they are incredibly passionate about what they do and are a wealth of information in regards to the local surroundings. Like us at the hotel, the staff appreciate the area so much that they want you to see the city and the natural ecology as we do and will make sure nothing is missed. They will happily stop the vehicle if there is something significant to see and if you want to take a moment to take a picture of the area.

So if you fancy taking a day trip to Whistler or Victoria or any other excursions you should really take these guys on – the tour begins directly at the hotel where they will pick you up and so it begins, they will chaperon you around your destination and will drop you back to the hotel once done.

Whistler Day Tours, plus Squamish & the Sea to Sky Gondola

Wednesday, January 14th, 2015

Now that we are in the thick of Winter we are seeing many tourists donning winter outfits with their Ski’s and Snowboards ready to hit the slopes and ride the fluffy powder!

In Vancouver it is quite the green city however, just a couple of hours north of Vancouver you will be in the heart of the Winter wonderland at Whistler, which is one of the many Ski resorts that BC has to offer and of course was the home of the 2010 Winter Olympics alongside Vancouver. If you are planning a trip up to Whistler we will offer you some great tours that will help make a day trip to these snowy destinations one to remember – and along the way we will help you check out some other gems before you reach Whistler.

SEA TO SKY GONDOLA
Located high above the scenic town of Squamish and the gorgeous Howe Sound fjord (this is the most southernly fjord in the Northern Hemisphere).
Located along the stunning Sea to Sky highway that connects Vancouver though to Whistler via Squamish this brand new attraction which opened in 2014 has been a major hit for scenic lovers all over the world.

The highway is a major attraction in itself – “Ranked as the number 10 attraction in British Columbia, and the number 3 attraction in Vancouver by Trip Advisor, driving the Sea to Sky Highway is a must for anyone who is visiting the region. The winding highway snakes along the rugged terrain of the coastal mountains. It takes you from downtown Vancouver through Stanley Park, over the Lions Gate Bridge, and along the upper levels of West Vancouver into the Sea to Sky Corridor, which starts at Horseshoe Bay. The section of highway 99 in between Horseshoe Bay to Pemberton was named Sea to Sky Highway due to it’s dramatic change from a coastal highway at sea level to quickly being a full-on mountain highway with an elevation of over 700 metres.” Notes courtesy of The Sea to Sky Gondola Website.

The best 3 tour operators to see Vancouver, Victoria and Whistler right at your Doorstep.

Wednesday, April 25th, 2012

As the official start of the Tourist Summer season is right around
the corner, we will like to help you see the best of Vancouver,
Victoria and Whistler. We want to show you how you can maximize your
time at a an excellent cost that will not damage your budget, all of
this right from the doorstep of the Sunset Inn and Suites hotel.

There are 3 major tour operators in the area that we feel confident
will show you the best of Vancouver and the surrounding areas
including the North Shore Mountains, the Suspension Bridges and
further afield to Whistler and Victoria. All of this in just one
day!!!!

Not only should you spend time in Vancouver, but you must see the
wonderful capital of BC, Victoria. This tour – like Vancouver, gets you
around the city and also the world renowned Butchart Gardens. Then
there is Whistler, where you will head north along the stunning sea to
sky highway that takes you directly to Whistler and its alpine
village, along the way you will see spectacular water falls, looming
mountains, popular hiking trails and have time to peruse the village
at leisure.

For the City of Vancouver, try either Vancouver Living Earth Tours
(and Big Bus city tour – which we will explain a little further down),
where you will visit the most popular and famous sights all in just
over 4 hours. You can also do a “snapshot” tour of Vancouver in 2
hours with Landsea Tours, an ideal tour if you have time to kill in
between checking out and your next destination to St Elsewhere…..

For the sights of Victoria and the gloriously beautiful Butchart
Gardens, again, you can choose Landsea Tours. They will pick you up and drop you
off at the hotel, where you will get to see Victoria without having to
worry about the how to get from A to B as they will have the whole day
planned out for you. We try our best to discourage you from getting there by yourself, it takes roughly 4 hours to get to Victoria itself, and after trying to orientate yourself around Victoria, we feel through experience that may lose
out on the best sights, these tours are designed to do all the hard work for you so you don’t have, you ARE on holiday!

And finally, good old Big Bus, they offer a fantastic One Day or Two
Day city pass, where you can use their Hop on and Hop off tour at your pleasure> The
bonus of this is that the pick up stop is literally a 30 second walk
around the corner from the hotel, if you decide to take the tour all
at once it is roughly a couple of hours to get around the city.

We highly recommend that you use these tours which you can book with
us at the front desk, we will help with advice and make sure that this will
be the perfect trip to Vancouver and the surrounding area.
